The Kentucky Small Business Development Center is honoring a business owned by Carroll County natives Levi and Jamie (Secrease) Reames.
Senior Care of Owensboro was selected as one of the 2009 Kentucky Pacesetters, a group of businesses recognized as high-performing businesses that are changing the economic landscape of Kentucky by introducing innovative products; increasing sales and/or production; boosting employment; and serving the communities of the Kentucky Commonwealth.
The couple will be honored at a Pacesetter Business Recognition Program and public reception set for May 13 at the Capitol Rotunda in Frankfort. A private luncheon with other winners at the Governor's Mansion will follow the event.
The Reameses purchased the Comfort Keepers franchise in the fall of 2007. Their business, Senior Care of Owensboro, covers four counties and employs 80 caregivers, more than double the number of caregivers as when the couple took over the business.

Republicans and Kentucky pretty much go together. At least in the South (conservative states), Republicans have both the hold and the connections -- so you could give them a try.

Where can I apply for a Small business loan after bankruptcy in kentucky?
Sep 27, 2006 by Ky_gal | Posted in Small Business
We filed chap. 7 bankruptcy on our home/business 4 years ago. We opted to reaffirm with our local bank on our home/business. Does anyone know of bank that will help a business after 4 years of bankruptcy. I know our credit score is pretty good now.
Talk to the SBA. They do not extend loans but they will sign for your loan if they agree your business plan is workable. You will have to apply for bank loans and if denied, they can help you. Go to their website below. They also offer FREE counseling.
