What happened to the company Utilities & Industries Corp - Delaware?
May 25, 2006 by Todd B | Posted in Investing
I Found an old stock certificate and want to know if it is worth anything.
Wow, I remember the company, but haven't heard that name in years, and I don't remember precisely what happened to it. I know they were either taken over or dissolved back in the early 70's, but I can't help much more than that.

Try out the Wilmington News Journal Classifieds

This could probably also help you with housing. There are some very nice areas in Delaware (I'm right over the line in PA)
Here are some of the big players in Wilmington:
ING Direct, duPont, Astra Zeneca, MBNA (which was recently bought out), W. L. Gore (gore tex), JP Morgan Chase, CitiGroup
Trust me, neither of you will have any problems finding work, and probably decent paying work at that.
There are also numerous recruiters and placement firms available.
If you've been to Delaware lately you know that its banking heaven there! Good luck.

Even if you only know the answer for one of the questions, please answer!
Practically all your answers are in these two links. All you have to do is read them. I won't do your homework for you, but I will warn you that Delaware was not named after the Delaware Indians like many people believe. It was named after Lord de la Warr.
