New Jersey must fight for equal rights - College of New Jersey Signal

When Vermont became the fourth state in the union to recognize same-sex marriage, a chorus of anger and dismay rang out from the usual right-wing echo chambers. Sean Hannity scoffed, Rush Limbaugh howled and the various Christian family values coalitions issued statements decrying the moral erosion of our once-great nation.

As their hateful dogmas fade faster into obscurity, it is getting easier to ignore these intolerable creeps and the vitriolic nonsense that they spew. But the words of Brian Brown, spokesperson of the seemingly innocuous National Organization for Marriage, remind us that the forces that seek to obstruct our path toward a progressive, secular society are still very much active, and they're targeting us next.

In the wake of the Vermont legislation's passage, Brown said, "Obviously there's a coming fight in New Jersey over same-sex marriage." He made those comments because public opinion in New Jersey is shifting, just as it is everywhere else in the nation.

I am thinking of moving to Vermont. Someone told me recently that Maine would be better. Any thoughts?

My family and I would like to move to Vermont. I heard that Maine would be better due to the job market in Vermont. I have warehouse and factory backgrounds and have worked at a naval shipyard. My wife prefers Vermont, but we need to go where the jobs are. Any info would be greatly appreciated between the two states.

that might have been me that suggested maine--damn i have way too much free time at work!!! but now that i know you've worked in shipyards then absolutely maine is a better choice---Bath Iron Works is a huge employer in the town of bath--about 25 minutes north of portland right on coastal maine---that area has some of the most spectacular coastline in the world--besides inland maine has everything VT has-- covered bridges, rolling mountains, ski resorts, quaint towns, PLUS the ocean and better towns/opportunities-- good luck, you'll love it--i'm sitting at work right now listening to the foghorns on the coast--you cant do that in VT!!!!

What is Obama going to do for the market of cheese in vermont?

Why don't you write him and ask instead of getting speculation from strangers?

I would like to write a book/guide for Vermont waterfalls, cascades and gorges. Is there a market for it?

I have found over 300 such locations in just the northern part of the state and am continuing south. I would love to share them, but don't want to loose my shirt in publishing costs.

YES, there has always been a market for travel information. Sometimes it is just a local guide. Yours sound pretty universal. Go to a large bookstore (B&N) and look at the travel section, it is jammed. Remember to put in pictures and maps. GOOD LUCK
