NEW CASTLE, Del., April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Farmers in North and South Dakota can now use Avipel(R) Seed Treatment on field and sweet corn seed. Section 18 permits to market Avipel(R) were approved by the EPA for 2009. Other states receiving approvals for use on corn and/or rice seed include Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Both North and South Dakota face a growing problem with pheasants. While a large pheasant population benefits hunters and represents added revenue for the hunting industry, crop damage has offset this benefit. As bird numbers have increased to levels not seen since the 1960's, the effect on certain crops has been dramatic. Freshly planted corn fields have been particularly hard hit. The photograph showing a test plot from last year dramatically demonstrates the sort of damage that can occur.
Where pheasants are a problem, Avipel(R) offers a non-toxic and effective way to protect newly planted fields. Eating seeds coated with Avipel(R) causes birds to have a digestive upset. After sampling the treated seed, birds avoid it and look for other food sources. Avipel(R) has been shown to be highly effective in protecting corn seed from birds in over four years of use on more than half a million acres of planted corn. How much do I offer for a house in Rapid City South Dakota?
Dec 12, 2006 by Lost in Space | Posted in Renting & Real Estate
I know it is a buyers market but how much do I offer for a house in Rapid City South Dakota. THey are asking 250K for a nice 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house on an acre.....
Is it wrong to offer 220K?
List price doesn't matter. Offer just a little bit less than what you think it's worth. Unless you really like it and fear someone else could get it. Then offer what it's worth. Unless you already know that someone else is interested. Then offer just a bit more than it's worth. Unless you cannot qualify for that much. Then offer as close to what it's worth, but no more than you qualify for. Unless you can get more money from a relative as a gift.
It MIGHT be wrong to offer $220k. It might be TOO LOW, it might be TOO HIGH......
Have your Realtor do a CMA and offer just a bit less than he thinks the seller should be able to reasonably hold out for. They may accept it rather than risk countering and losing a ready buyer.... you are approved and ready, right?
... oh yeah, unless you're putting in alot of contingencies, like the sale of your home, or trying to get financing, .....

Gallup has S.C. listed as an "average job market". Definitely not the worst.
G. I'm sure your neighbors just love you.
It's due to a little thing called 'entitlement'. Many liberals believe they are entitled to a better job, better pay, and better living environment without earning it. Guess what? That money has to come from somewhere, and we all pay for it.
Let me give you a prime example:
I live in California. To cross the Golden Gate Bridge will cost me between $5 and $10, and only 20% of that goes to the actual bridge. The rest goes to paying for ferries, BART, and the local government. Sounds good? Not really- in order to drive, I have to pay and subsidize others who don't drive over the bridge.
While traveling through Texas, I drove through Galveston. There is a small 2 mile gap along the STATE highway over the water. The solution? A free ferry that runs 24/7 back and forth. When I asked why they didn't charge people for using the free service, the man looked at me like I am an idiot and said 'but this is a state highway. You are already paying your taxes to drive here'.
That's right- California makes you pay over18 cents per gallon to drive the freeways and an addition fee for the privilege of driving over a bridge. Texas asks why you should pay more for something you already are paying for.
Makes Texas look a lot nicer to live these days...

Which of these colleges can I get in to?
Mar 09, 2009 by Riley M | Posted in Higher Education (University +)
-I have a 3.63 GPA in my junior year at a Jesuit Catholic day school in Connecticut.
-Extracurriculars include hockey team, golf team, stock market club, freshman retreat, mission trip to South Dakota, habitat for humanity, and jeopardy club
-Out of Providence, UConn, Boston College, Notre Dame (reach), Davidson, Purdue, and Florida, which ones could I have a chance at?
You should easily get into Providence, UConn, Purdue.
You should get into BC and Holy Cross since they are both Jesuit colleges and they take care of their own.
Notre Dame is comparable to BC and Holy Cross but less desirable location so you should get in there. You have decent shots at Florida and Davidson as well.
