NEW YORK (Legal Newsline)- OppenheimerFunds Inc., the manager of Oregon's college savings plan, blasted the Oregon attorney general for filing a lawsuit this week against the Wall Street giant, saying he has acted in bad faith.
Oregon Attorney General John Kroger on Monday filed a lawsuit against OppenheimerFunds, hoping to recover investment losses participants in the state's college savings plan suffered. The Democratic attorney general sued on behalf of families whose savings were allegedly devalued.
Kroger is seeking repayment of lost assets in the Oregon 529 College Savings Network plan plus interest, along with attorneys' fees.
In a statement, OppenheimerFunds said it was "very disappointed" to learn a lawsuit was filed since it had "cooperated fully" with state investigators.
"Despite this cooperation and ongoing dialogue with the state, Oregon proceeded to file its suit without so much as a single meeting with OFI to discuss their concerns or potential

Where are the best places (restaurants, markets..) to eat fresh lobster in Oregon and Washington?
Aug 04, 2008 by J W | Posted in Seattle
Thank you.
Thank you. We are not from the US and we didn't know that you can get fresh lobster just at the East Coast... So where are the best places to eat Dungeness crabs?
Lobster is not found in the Pacific waters around Oregon and Washington, therefore you will NOT find fresh lobster here. Unless it's live Maine lobsters in tanks imported from the East coast. You WILL find fresh Dungeness crab however. The very best crab in the whole world. Sweet and juicy, and fresh off the crab boats. Go to Waldport or any other town that has a pier for fishing boats. Buy at least two or three crabs and be in HEAVEN. Or go to any of the fantasitic seafood restaurants on the Oregon and Washington coast and have a nice lunch or dinner of fresh oyster stew, fried clams. shrimp or crabs. Forget lobster in the Pacific NW.
Go to any seafood restaurant in Oregon or Washington, preferably on the coast and you'll get superb Dungeness crab. You can get a Crab Louie (a huge salad with everything but the kitchen sink in it and lots of cold crabmeat) Steamed crab served with drawn butter hot or cold, crabcakes, and many other dishes with crab. It's the best crab in the world and you won't miss lobster at all. Also, you should try the wonderful oysters from the bay. Either on the half shell, in stew or fried crisp. Absolutely divine!!!
One restaurant I'd recommend is Mo's. Mo's has many locations on the Oregon coast.
