A commodity market that has long helped wheat growers and processors manage price risks could lose its relevance unless the Chicago Board of Trade bridges a wide gap between futures and cash prices, a new University of Illinois study warns. U. of I. economists say outdated grain delivery locations in CBOT futures contracts are likely behind wheat futures prices that have topped the simultaneous cash price by as much as $2 a bushel since the disconnect emerged in late 2005, clouding the market's value as a hedging tool.
Left unchecked, the disparity could seriously undermine the CBOT's wheat futures market because farmers and processors will pull out if they can no longer rely on futures trading as a barometer of expected prices, said Scott Irwin, one of four U. of I. agricultural economists who spent three years studying the problem.
"This is attacking a vital organ of U.S. agriculture, and there's a real danger of the patient going terminal," he said. "If the market died, I think we'd find out just how expensive the alternatives are for farmers, processors and ultimately consumers."

For instance is Savannah in the Falcons or Jaguars market? What parts of Alabama and Mississippi are in the Falcons market and what parts in the Saints? There must be a map that answers these questions, showing each NFL teams TV territory.

I'm going to the University of Mississippi School of Law, will I have trouble getting a job?

There are only 2 law schools in the state of Mississippi, and generally, Ole Miss's has the better reputation. I am going to graduate in the top third to top half of my class (somewhere in that range), but I always hear about how bad the job market is for lawyers. I know you can't give me a definite answer, but will I have trouble getting a job?
Here is the basic low down on getting a job with a law degree. If you graduate from one of the top 30 law schools (their ranking is published) and you are in the top 20% of your graduating class, you will get a job. You are a desireable commodity. Law firms want you and they will pay you well.
All of this is more or less settled after your second year, during which law students typically seek internships. At the top law firms these are well paid.
If you get the internship, and you don't screw up while you work there for the two months or so, and your grades don't take a dive, you have a job waiting - usually at an absurdly high salary.
Top law students from top schools can start at $200K plus signing bonus.
Thats the good news.
The bad news is if you are not in a highly regarded school and you are not in the top half of you class, then you probably will use you law degree to get a job with the FBI.... but you are not likely to be a lawyer..... there are not enough law jobs for all the lawyers.
On the other hand, a law education has its own value, namely it teaches analytic skills, the law, and oratory, and that can be very useful indeed in many areas of activity.....
For whatever its worth I attached a Law School ranking and I could not find your school in the top 100.
You may get a job in law, but its a long shot for a top law firm.
If you are near the top of your class, doors will open.
But all of this just refers to law careers..... lots of other options for a bright fellow/gal with a law degree.
