KRS transparency challenged over real-estate deal - State-Journal.com

A member of the Kentucky Retirement Systems board of trustees says its executive managers have not been transparent on issues related to a 2006 real-estate deal.

At a special meeting of the KRS investment committee on Tuesday, Chris Tobe tried to present a written complaint on the matter for discussion but was stopped. Tobe is a chartered financial analyst and has more than 20 years of experience in investments. He was appointed to the board of trustees in April 2008.

Vice-chair Bobby Henson said the item was not listed on the official agenda, and because it was a special meeting, the agenda could not be amended.

Tobe said he hopes to put it on the agenda for the next regular board meeting at 9 a.m. on May 5. His written complaint focused on several financial issues related to the 2006 purchase of a former church on Louisville Road by KRS.

According to the Franklin County Property Valuation Administration, the retirement system bought the former Boone Plaza Church of Christ from Caroline Taylor for $700,000 in February 2006. She had bought the property in December 2005 for $450,000.

I need advice from an expert on the (WIA) or Workforce Investment Act, in Kentucky?

I live in Kentucky, and my job was recently eliminated after 14 years. I am currently receiving unemployment insurance, and after a recent briefing at my local employment services office, I spoke to a counselor about WIA sponsored training.
The training that I was most interested in was offered, but funding for that particular training has been depleted for the year. The next closest development district , to the one in which I live, has the training available at a local technical school, and has funding available. My question is, Can I and if so, how do I go about applying for this training in another district?
Thanks for any assistance that you could provide.

It appears that there are 10 "workforce investment areas" or boards in Kentucky - each of those is under the control of a separate director, and works with a separate budget.

My best advice to you would be to call the Director's office of your local board, and inquire. I'm attaching a link to the entire list, and hoping that you'll find this useful.

That's here: http://oet.ky.gov/documents/LWIAContacts0708.pdf

Generally, if I had to guess, I would say that the answer is "no", and that each board is charged with the mission of maximizing service delivery to its local residents. But who knows - perhaps if the funding is not available in your community, but it is elsewhere - perhaps they'll make an exception under a principle of "greater common good".

I wish you the very best of luck - and suggest that you call the contact person at your local (or at the neighboring) board.

Is anyone here actually stupid enough to believe Bush's claims that the bailout is a "good investment"?

If it was such a good investment then why has not the market covered this debt, that is what investors do they flock to good investments.

However it is quite obvious no sane investor would touch these loans.

So if you believe Bush and think this is a good investment please send me a private message, I have some great deals on Western Kentucky swamp land that might just interest you.

I was going to answer this but a poster did already. Robert b answered it correctly. You cant listen to bush, but, all Americans will suffer otherwise if we dont take this. Hopefully Obama will fix this when hes in office.

Is Hillary REALLY about change ? Lets take a look shall we?

I, Stew Webb and Whistleblower Tom Heneghan released over 25 documents that prove $3.6 Billion in Narcotics accounts belonging to Hillary Clinton and her partner David Rosen.

Rosen is now on trial this week in Los Angeles, California, for Campaign Money Laundering involving Hillary's Senate Race. These Documents prove the Narco Accounts at Morgan Stanley include subpoenas from the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to these Illegal Narco accounts. Hillary is also known as Queen Melusina.

These 20 plus pages of Top secret Documents relate to Hillary's Illegal Narco accounts derived from the Mena, Arkansas Col. Oliver North's illegal Iran Contra Drug Smuggling Operations that Independent prosecutor Kenneth Star covered-up. This is a small portion of the Billions that Hillary Clinton has stashed throughout the world in various entities and illegal Narcotics Bank Accounts. These exclusive documents also relate to investment in Kentucky Valley Oil Company, Hoonfo Inc., MIApollo Investments Ltd., and accounts in Bank of America, CITI Bank and Barclays Bank.

You can now view these document on www.stewwebb.com/HillaryClinton.html

Will Justice prevail and will Hillary hear those Bars Slamming behind her or will there be more cover-up and

Obstruction of Justice by the Bush-Millman-Clinton Crime Family's Justice Department?

Yes you have my permission to write articles and display these documents in your newspaper and magazines or on TV. These documents are not for economic gain or books but for the purpose of exposure and that Justice may be served and Hillary Clinton may have a new residence were she belongs, behind bars.
